Sure, you could book a stay at the Tuscany Suites in an effort to save some money, but you will not get the same accessibility, safety, glamour, or convenience to the strip.

Visit during the week to save major money.

One Las Vegas hack you can use for any trip is saving money by visiting during the week instead of on the weekend.

If you search dates for a three-night stay from Tuesday to Friday, you might find yourself booking a suite for as little as $800-$900. But you will likely see a $300 increase on Friday and Saturday nights.

Check out as many free attractions as you can.

There are hundreds of free things to do on and around the Vegas Strip, so take advantage.

Enjoy the fountain show at The Bellagio or the free circus act at Circus Circus. There are many fantastic things to do in Vegas for free, and some do not require reservations or booking ahead.

Book all your activities in advance.

Major tips for visiting Las Vegas include booking out in advance. Las Vegas is a busy place, even in the slow season. Looking on Groupon and Viator and checking to see if you have any package deals at your hotel that can work to your advantage.

Book your ticket online to save money if you go to a buffet.

Vegas has buffets, but they aren’t your everyday Sizzlers buffet, no offense to Sizzlers. They are Las Vegas buffets with fresh ingredients, freshly made, glamorous, and yummy.

For example the Bellagio Buffet, you can buy a dinner and skip-the-line pass for $94.99 online.

You will have a set amount of time to eat at the buffets. Sometimes you can find deals on Groupon. Drink packages are sold for those that would like adult beverages with their dinners.

Some hotels have skip-the-line kiosks that you can sign up for to avoid waiting.

Realize that the Strip is 4 miles long.

Another first-time Vegas tips is that the Strip is much bigger than most people realize. It’s 4 miles long one way, with activities and attractions on both sides of the six-lane road. You can be busy with activities on the strip your entire stay here.

Keep your drink with you at all times.

One of the most essential tips for visiting Las Vegas or anywhere else. Although Vegas is relatively safe, always keep your drink with you. If you put your beverage down at any point and it was out of sight, just buy a new one.

Prepare to sleep in and stay up late.

As you meander around the strip, you will probably be in and out of casinos and attractions. Oh, and bars. The clubs close in Vegas at 4 am, which means you will probably be sleeping in late the next morning.

Wear sunscreen at all times.

The sun is out in Las Vegas; even if you might not feel it, you will feel it! Important Las Vegas tips and tricks include wearing sunscreen.

SPF is not just for the pool. You need it walking around, shopping, and sitting in the car.

One of the best Las Vegas hacks you can think of is stocking up on snacks and drinks from the shops on the strip if you want to save a little on room service.

Learn how to play games + slots before playing with too much money.

Look up some youtube videos on playing the slots and table games. Websites like Wizard of Odds might be a good way to read some information about etiquette and practice playing for fun.

Don’t bother renting a car.

Las Vegas insider tips, you don’t need to waste your money on car rental. Even if you want to head away from the strip, you can Uber, Lyft, or join a tour.

The convenience of staying on the Strip and the way it is all set up for you to walk from place to place make renting a car obsolete.

Recognize that the Strip is different than Downtown.

The Strip and Downtown Las Vegas are two separate entities, and you can feel the difference. DT is more laidback than the Strip, and it is also where you can find the old Vegas staples like the Golden Nugget. The new Strip is fancier and more touristy.

Consider getting out of the city to visit Red Rock Canyon or Valley of Fire State Park.

Las Vegas secrets and tips, being that there is just as much to do around Las Vegas as on the strip.

Consider getting a car and exploring the beautiful desert and Red Rock Canyon or Valley Fire State Park. The mountain biking, camping, hiking and rock climbing at either park will leave anyone that enjoys nature feeling like they won a million bucks.

Keep your ID on you at all times.

Las Vegas tips and tricks #384637293846: Keep your ID on you at all times.

You will be carded constantly on the Strip, casinos, bars, and clubs. Even if you aren’t planning on doing anything that you would think requires an ID, you still need to bring your ID.

Make a budget and stick to it.

It’s easy to get to Las Vegas and go all out. But you’ll be much happier if you set yourself a budget, especially if you will be in the casinos, and stick to said budget.

Whipping your credit cards out and taking an extra $1000 out of an ATM every night is to be avoided. Right? Right.

See at least one show or residency – you’ll be amazed.

One of the tips for Las Vegas vacation that you will never forget would be to make time for the entertainment. Book ahead, as mentioned above, and you are bound to have your socks knocked off.

Las Vegas is in a desert so you need to keep water on you at all times. Whether you are walking the Strip, driving to the Hoover Dam, or lounging by the pool, you always need to have water on you.

Keep a close eye on all of your things.

Having a few drinks while you are playing the slots is normal; after all, the drinks are free, and leaving your things while you go to the bathroom might not seem like a big deal, but it is not a good idea.

Use the safe in your room for valuables, and don’t carry all of your cash and cards on you while you are out and about.

Don’t use the ATMs at the casinos because of the fees.

Some of the ATMs in the casinos have fees of up to $10 per transaction. WTFudge?! Yea, we know.

Some Las Vegas tips and tricks for getting cash on the Strip include Bank of America and Wells Fargo ATMs outside of the casinos.

Get cash back at purchase from Target without being charged an arm and a leg.

Want in on some Las Vegas insider tips? There are so many fun speakeasies in Las Vegas.

Ghost Donkey is in the Cosmopolitan, and Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den at Resort World are just two of them.

To cool off, go inside any of the malls or casinos.

A favorite Las Vegas hack of ours is when it’s too hot outside; going inside is an easy free fix.

You do not have to pay anything to head into the mall or casinos on the strip, and they provide excellent shelter from the desert sun.

Don’t jaywalk – the Strip is one of the busiest streets in the USA.

Las Vegas BLVD is a six-lane, bustling road. Attempting to jaywalk could be, well, not that great of an idea. Instead, only cross at crosswalks, or follow one of the great Las Vegas tips and tricks, and use the elevated walkways that you will find at major intersections.

That is all of the Las Vegas tips and tricks we have for all first-time visitors out there. Make sure to put on your SPF, and have a great trip!
